Winter X Games Europe à Tignes
« Pour la toute première fois, les Winter X Games débarquent en Europe ! Et c’est Tignes, qui a été choisie pour accueillir ce rendez-vous incontournable du ski et du snowboard freestyle. Pendant 3 jours, du 10 au 12 mars 2010, les meilleurs riders de la planète s’affronteront sur la neige de Tignes pour des compétitions au sommet.
Pour cette première édition européenne, les Winter X Games ont inscrit 8 épreuves à leur programme : le SuperPipe Hommes et Dames en Ski et Snowboard, le Slopestyle Hommes et Dames en Ski et Snowboard, ainsi qu’une démonstration de SnowMobile Freestyle. Le niveau sportif et technique de l’événement promet d’être tout à fait inédit en Europe !
Retrouvez les plus grands freestylers du moment, tels que Xavier Bertoni, Kevin Rolland, Sarah Burke, Mathieu Crépel, et bien d’autres…

BOOM
Tonight the Sonics were playing in Paris, not only it's one of my favorite rock band, but it reminds me of how i was introduced to them, one crazy night in a Belgian festival a few summers ago, thru Brian big hands (bass player of Eagles of Death Metal) when i was supposed to go on tour with them... nice tour bus but.. i'll tell you that one another time..
Anyways, they also strongly influenced one of my former favorite rock band, the Hives.
Unfortunately for me I couldnt go tonight, and i'm afraid it will be one of their last tour ever, so here's just a little tribute, as i feel a bit sad, if you dont know them you'll be pleased to meet them, as it's never too late for good rock and roll...

The dark abyss of the ocean is the place on Earth that we know the least about. It is populated by photoluminescent undersea “light-shows,” a behavior that inspired the concept behind French artist Loris Greaud’s ambitious new project, developed in collaboration with Performa, MIT and Carnegie Mellon. This ongoing project will launch on November 19, 2009 in Abu Dhabi with breathtaking fireworks designed by the internationally acclaimed pyrotechnicians Groupe F
(http://www.groupef.com/swffr/groupef-eng.html) that will recreate the bioluminescence of deepsea creatures, a blue monochrome of flashing lights, in the night sky. The video premiere of this elemental sky sculpture, which will be recorded in HD and 35 mm, will be displayed on the screens in Times Square as part of Performa 09. The blue fires, evoking fantasies of undersea exploration, will respond in a poetic and and mysterious way to the frenetic lights of Times Square.
(Performa is a non-profit multidisciplinary arts organization established by RoseLee Goldberg in 2004, dedicated to exploring the critical role of live performance in the history of twentieth century art and to encouraging new directions in performance for the twenty-first century.)

Perks And Mini
"Perks and Mini fell in love in a world called Shitland, and neither of them felt like they really fit in there. Together they planned to escape to Forevereverland, where things were much nicer. They began to make things like art, toys, books, fashion, accessories, graphic design and music- nice things that would help them make a new world.
Perks and Mini is Misha Hollenbach and Shauna T. They live in Melbourne, Australia. They first met in 1999 when Shauna finished university and Misha returned from the US, after doing graphics for influential skate label Fuct. Before long they were in love. Shauna wrote stories for Misha, and he made cards for her, hiding them in secret holes near her house for her to find.
Misha and Shauna got married in 2000 and decided to make some things to take with them on their honeymoon. This was the first P.A.M. collection.
Perks And Mini are great appreciators of nice things. They collect art and furniture, watch a lot of movies, always listen to music and enjoy lots of nice food.
Consequently they want to give something back to the world, as a way of saying “thank you” for the things they love, and to show that even in Shitland good things are happening and that there is fun to be had.
Perks And Mini are always working on something. Their clothing label started in 2000 and is still going strong with stockists worldwide. Their spirit is freedom, creativity, fun, love and good, hard work…..and outer/inner space."

Krinkini
I've always loved graffitis. As a kid every trip to a big city would draw my attention on them, I was fascinated. I tried it a bit myself as a teenager but no luck, I definitely aint an artist. Today living in Paris I enjoy them everyday : ) But what interets me the most is the evolution of those street artists, a lot of them now do collabs with brands. This one is pretty cool..
